*EXCLUSIVE* El Laguito 'Cohiba' Humidor - LINLEY
Brand: Linley Humidors
The first piece in the collection is a one off piece inspired by the Laquito cigar factory, the famous factory on the outskirts of Havana where Cohiba cigars are made.
The building of Laguito, which is originally the former private home of the Prince of Pinar del Rio, has been translated by Linley into an architectural box which serves as a humidor for storing a rare collection of Cohiba cigars.
The Linley humidor is made from sycamore with inlays of ripple sycamore, bird's eye maple, burr oak, holly and Indian ebony. Intricate marquetry detailing, architectural mouldings and lippings are used in the decorative relief of the front and side elevations, and the building site resplendently atop a recreation of the famous Laguito front steps, (where cigars are traditionally enjoyed). The lid of the box is flat, to mirror that of the Laguito building, and is decorated with quarter matched ripple sycamore and marquetry emblem of the Cohiba cigar brand.
We believe the El Laguito factory has never been reproduced in this way before and only one of these humidors has been made by Linley.
The main compartment of the humidor houses three lift out trays with capacity for approximately 195 cigars.
There are 25 of each of the following cigars in the humidor, all Edicion Limitada, Limited Editions:
Cohiba Double Coronas (2003) (7 5/8" x 49)
Cohiba Sublimes (2004) (6 ½" x 54)
Cohiba Piramides (2006) (6 1/8" x 52)
Cohiba Esplendidos Reserva 1999/2002 (7" x 47). (The Tobacco harvest for these cigars was taken in 1999 but the cigar was not launched until 2002).
